To build our collaborative bank of teaching and learning strategies
Appreciative Warm-up activity - into pairs or group sharing(5 mins):
Each person takes a turn to identify ONE aspect of their practice that they have been working on and ONE thing about it that they are pleased with or have found engaging.
Minute taker records this for them on Waihiu kahui ako blog for the staff to see and comment
A window on the work (15 min):
In buddy groups take it in turns to:
Describe an aspect of practice you have been working on / thinking about / inquiring into and what prompted you to explore it - this might be a collective work or your own
Share an example of research or reading that you have found useful
Describe what you have changed or will be trying out, with any impact you have noticed so far.
While they talk, the minute person makes notes of key points that they heard on the Kahui Ako blog and others can ask clarifying questions.
For braver people there is an audio option for record keeping that can also be added to the podcast on the blog
Look ahead (5-10mins)
Each person reflect: What might your next steps be?
Take a photo for your records if you wish.
Provide feedback on PD/support needed next
Make sure you label the post with #yourname #workstream and any other labels you like
Some question structures you can use to help bring greater depth to your reflections
